Established in 2010, Pskov State University is one of the 33 flagship universities in Russia. This prestigious university has been recognized by major international bodies such as the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), the National Medical Council (NMC), and others.

About the University
Pskov State University was established in the year 2010 after merging five major educational establishments namely PskovState Pedagogical University (estd.1932), Pskov Polytechnic Institute (estd. 1960), Pskov Civil Engineering and Economics College (estd. 1966), Pskov Industrial College (estd. 1958), and Velikiye Luki Civil Engineering College (estd. 1952).
At present, more than 10,000 students from all around the world, are currently part of our diverse student body. This esteemed university constantly adopts new and innovative technologies and teaching methodologies to deliver education of the highest quality to its students. Boasting several laboratories, workshops, and 10 computer labs, the institution has fully equipped advanced classrooms with modern equipment, Pskov State University is one of the largest research centers and a training base for scientific research in the Pskov region and the North-West of Russia.
In 2019, the Pskov State University was recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. To facilitate student research programs, the university actively collaborates with other renowned institutions such as the Moscow and St. Petersburg colleges. Moreover, the university offers a wide range of educational programs including 106 bachelor’s degrees, 52 master’s degrees, 9 specialty degrees, and 28 secondary vocational education programs.

Admission Process
To commence your academic journey with Pskov State University, students must go through the following admission procedure:
Step 1: Fill up the admission form, which is usually available online at the university’s official website
Step 2: Submit all the necessary documents with the application form
Step 3: Wait for the invitation letter from the university
Step 4: After receiving the invitation letter from the university, students must contact the Russian embassy of his/her country of residence for a visa application

Eligibility Criteria
To join Pskov State University, the students are required to meet the following conditions:

Age Requirements: Students should have completed the age of 17 as on or before 31 December in the admission year

Educational Qualifications: Student should clear Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized university or board

Founded in 2010 by merging 5 leading educational institutions, Pskov State University is well-equipped with modern facilities and cutting-edge technologies. The institute has fully equipped advanced classrooms with modern equipment, laboratories, workshops, 10 computer labs, as well as a conference hall that can accommodate 300 people at once.
Pskov State University is one of the leading hubs for research centers, and a training base for scientific research in the Pskov region. Presently, this university is the home of more than 10,000 students and over 500 academic teachers.
Moreover, the university includes 22 educational and laboratory buildings, 11 student dormitories, the Student House which includes a student dormitory and a medical rehabilitation center, the Center for Student Initiatives, and the Student Engineering Center.
Furthermore, the university boasts one of the largest libraries in the Pskov region, including more than 1 million copies of publications that represent a large collection of scientific journals, articles, etc.
Life at Pskov

City at a Glance
Located in the northwestern part of Russia, Pskov is the administrative center of Pskov Oblast, Russia. It is one of the oldest towns in Russia that gained its importance as a major administrative center in the Northwestern region. The town became important in the Middle Ages as a center for trade and commerce between the interior of Russia and the Hanseatic seaports of the Baltic.
