Established in 1932, Ufa State Aviation Technical University is one of the largest and popular universities in the Russian Federation. This university was originally named Rybinsk Aviation Institute, but, in 1942, the institute was permanently relocated to Ufa City and was renamed to Ufa State Aviation Technical University named after Ordzhonikidze.

About the University

Founded in 1932, Ufa State Aviation Technical University is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the entire Russian Federation. In 1942, the university was reorganized by the order of the Chief Directorate of the Aviation Industry and was shifted to Ufa, and thus renamed Ufa Aviation Institute.  In 1992, it became Ufa State Aviation Technical University, and in 2011, it was further renamed to the Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Ufa State Aviation Technical University" by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

 

The University is the home of more than 20,000 students from more than 27 countries all over the world getting trained by a team of over 1,500 faculty members. The university offers over 109 academic programs in the domains of health sciences, liberal arts, life sciences, engineering, etc. 

 

USATU is the only university in the region with its aviation park, featuring modern Su-27 and MiG-29 combat aircraft. Notably, it houses a rare study museum of aircraft engines, one of only two in the country (the other in Samara). The university boasts an advanced infrastructure with a separate center for receiving and cosmic data processing, a student bureau design- INFOCOSMOS with its own satellite- USATUSAT. Furthermore, the university’s campus includes a 3-dimensional virtual laboratory, a computational lab that is composed of a supercomputer. The university recently established robotic labs as well.

The Ufa State Aviation Technical University encompasses 7 faculties, 64 departments, 7 research centers, these are: 

  1. The Faculty of Aircraft Engine Design, Energy, and Transportation Engineering

  2. Institute of Aerospace Technology and Material Science

  3. The Faculty of Avionics, Energy Engineering, and Infocomm Technology

  4. The Faculty of Informatics and Robotics

  5. Faculty of Civil Defense and Emergency Management

Admission Process 

Prospective students seeking admission to the Moscow Aviation Institute are required to adhere to the ensuing formalized admissions process:

 

Step 1: Complete the designated admission form, typically available on the official university website.

 

Step 2: Furnish all requisite documents along with the completed application form.

 

Step 3: Await the issuance of an invitation letter from the university.

 

Step 4: Upon receipt of the invitation letter, students must contact the Russian embassy in their respective country of residence to facilitate the visa application process.

 

Step 5: Settle all financial obligations, encompassing the entire first-year tuition fee, accommodation charges, and any additional fees.

 

Step 6: Undertake travel to Russia and commence attendance in scheduled classes.

 

Eligibility Criteria 

Students seeking admission to Ufa State Aviation Technical University are required to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

 

  1. Students should have completed the age of 17 years in the admission year. 

  2. Students must have passed Class 12th from a recognized board or university with at least a 50% score in PCM. 

 

Note: All the students are required to qualify the university’s entrance exam in order to secure admission at Ufa State Aviation Technical University.

  • Class 12 passing certificate and mark sheet 

  • Medical certificate with HIV reports

The capital of the Russian Federation's Bashkortostan, Ufa, is located at the meeting point of the Belaya and Ufa rivers. Situated on elevated ground that forms the Ufa plateau to the west of the spectacular Southern Ural mountains, it is situated in the central-northern area of Bashkortostan. Ufa is the fourth most populated city in the Volga Federal District and the tenth most populous city in the Russian Federation due to its enormous population.
