About the University

Founded in 1932, Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics (MESI) is a distinguished institution offering all aspirants the best education in Russia. The university provides top-notch education and trains several generations of highly qualified, competent, and creative specialists. It is an innovative, educational, and scientific complex, uniting 13 branch establishments, 97 representations, and more than 200 regional partners in Russia, CIS, and other countries.

 

MESI adopted the European System of Quality Management and achieved the distinction of being the inaugural Russian University certified under the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

 

At MESI, the university aims to establish a conducive and secure environment for both learning and relaxation. Our educational facilities include meticulously designed study rooms, lecture halls, and computer classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Additionally, our information-library complex features an electronic library, complemented by a job placement center. Students can also enjoy our sanitation-sporting camp, MESI club, MESI sport club, and a conveniently located hostel, just a minute's walk from the main university building. Notably, in 2004, MESI earned recognition as the top Moscow university for organizing extracurricular activities for its students.

 

The university is a permanent participant in international educational and scientific research programs and projects including TACIS, UNESCO, the World Bank, Eurasia Fund, and the National Training Foundation. Today, MESI maintains an advanced relationship with the leading foreign universities, international organizations, and scientific research centers, which contributes to the development of co-education and allows students to perform their studies in different countries such as the student exchange programs.

Admission Process

To secure a seat for higher education at the university, the students must go through the following steps for admission: 

 

Step 1: Fill up the admission form for the chosen course, available on the university’s website.

 

Step 2: Submit your application including the required documents

 

Step 3: Receive the admission/acceptance letter from the university.

 

Step 4: After receiving the application/invitation letter from the university, students must apply for a student visa to proceed with their studies in Russia. 

 

Step 5: Students are required to make the payment of their tuition fees and other dues.

Eligibility Criteria

For higher education in Russia at Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics, the students must fulfill the following criteria: 

  1. Students should have passed the 10+2 with an average of 50% marks in subjects including English, economics, political science, philosophy, science and technology, mathematics, finance, and business from a recognized board.

  2. Students must be 17 years of age in the year of admission to the university. 

 

Note: To secure admission at Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics, students are required to clear the university’s specific entrance examination.
