Its establishment in 2012 marked the consolidation of three esteemed entities: Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, Saint Petersburg State University of Engineering and Economics, and Saint Petersburg State University of Service and Economics.

Admission Process 

Students seeking higher education at the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics must undergo the following admission procedure. 

 

Step 1: Fill out the university admission form that is usually available at the university’s official website. 

 

Step 2: Submit all the required documents with the application form. 

 

Step 3: After submitting the application form, wait for the invitation letter from the university. 

 

Step 4: After receiving the admission letter from the university, students should contact the Russian embassy of his/her country of residence for a visa application. 

 

Step 5: Clear all the dues and make all the payments including the complete tuition fee for the first year, accommodation charges, and other expenses. 

 

Step 6: Travel to Russia and join your classes. 

 

Eligibility Criteria

Students seeking higher education opportunities at Saint Petersburg State University of Economics must fulfill the following conditions. These are: 

 

  1. Students must complete the age of 17 on or before 31 December in the admission year. 

  2. Students must pass their 10+2 with at least 50% marks from a recognized board or university. 

 

Note: All the students are required to qualify for the university’s entrance exam in order to secure their admission at the State University of Economics.

  2. Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate 

  3. Medical certificate with HIV reports

Amenities and Infrastructure 

Saint Petersburg State University of Economics boasts a well-developed infrastructure to foster research initiatives among students. The university includes 7 faculties and 46 departments, moreover, the university encompasses 32 scientific schools, 11 dissertation councils, 8 research centers, and 10 laboratories. 

 

Further, to assist students in research activities, the university boasts one of the largest and oldest libraries in the Russian Federation, with a collection of more than 2.5 million books in Russian and foreign languages. Currently, SPbSUE has partnered with 250 foreign educational institutions. 

 

From 2011 to the present, the Volunteer Center of the State University of Economics has selected and trained more than 660 sports and cultural events on the city, regional, federal, and international scale.
