Established in 1930, Moscow Aviation Institute stands as one of the premier research and scientific hubs in the Russian Federation. Moscow Aviation University offers comprehensive and rigorous training to specialists in the aviation industry. Since its inception, MAI has trained more than 16,000 professionals in aviation, space science, and industry, including more than 250 general and chief designers, heads of research, and design organizations of basic industries. 

 

Students of MAI undergo multilevel training in various disciplines including initial training, general training, and additional training to meet the changing demands of the aviation industry. 

 

About the University 

Moscow Aviation Institute was founded in the year 1930 and offers multiple courses in the field of aerospace industry. Moscow Aviation Institute encompasses 13 schools where around 16,000 students get trained in their respective fields by a team of expert and experienced faculty members including over 400 doctors of science and professors, and more than 1,300 candidates of sciences and assistance professors. 

 

The university is like a home for international students where more than 1,800 students from more than 80 countries pursue their higher education. The university was ranked #21 among the top national universities in Russia by the RAEX ranking agency in the year 2021. Moreover, as per the QS World Ranking by subject, the institute stands among the top 10 universities offering mechanical, aeronautical, & manufacturing engineering. 

 

MAI offers a diverse range of courses including 33 bachelor’s degree programs, 23 master’s degree programs, and 8 specialization courses to its students from all over the world.

Admission Process 

Students considering admission to the Moscow Aviation Institute must go through the following admissions process. 

 

Step 1: Fill out the admission form that is usually available on the official website of the university. 

 

Step 2: Submit all the required documents with the application form. 

 

Step 3: Wait for the invitation letter from the university. 

 

Step 4: After receiving the invitation letter from the university, students are required to contact the Russian embassy of his/her country of residence for a visa application. 

 

Step 5: Clear all the dues including the complete tuition fee for the first year, accommodation charges, and other charges. 

 

Step 6: Travel to Russia and join your classes. 

 

Eligibility Criteria 

In order to secure admission to the Moscow Aviation Institute, students are required to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Age Requirements: Students must complete the age of 17 years as on or before 31 December in the admission year. 

  2. Educational Qualifications: Students shall have passed Class 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics from a recognized university or board. 

 

Note: All the students are required to qualify the university’s entrance examination in order to get admission to the Moscow Aviation Institute. 

 

Documents to be Submitted 

Students are required to submit the following documents with their application form: 

 

  1. Class 10 passing certificate and mark sheet 

  2. Class 12 passing certificate and mark sheet 

  3. Medical certificate with HIV reports 

  4. Valid Identity Proof 

  5. Copy of passport

  6. Passport size photographs
