About the University
With an unwavering history of 114 years, the Russian University of Economics has been one of the prominent universities. PRUE was the first Russian university to specialize in Economics that laid the foundations of the Russian National School of Economics Education.
More than 180,000 students have completed their higher education at this university since its inception. Presently, around 14,000 students are getting trained by more than 6,000 expert and experienced faculty. The university offers a wide array of courses including around 50 bachelor's degree courses, and more than 55 master's degree programs. Moreover, the university also includes 30 open branches all across the Russian Federation.
In 2019, the QS World University Rankings awarded the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics with a five-star rating, making it the first university in Russia to achieve this honor. Additionally, in a ranking of Russian universities based on the Unified State Exam, Plekhanov University is among the top 30 institutions overall and is also one of the top 10 universities specializing in social sciences.

Admission Process
Students seeking admission to the Plekhnov Russian University of Economics should follow the following admission procedure.
Step 1: Fill out the admission form that is usually available at the university’s official website.
Step 2: Submit all the required documents with your application form.
Step 3: Wait for the admission letter from the university.
Step 4: After receiving the invitation letter from the university, students are required to contact the Russian embassy of his/her country of residence for a visa application.
Step 5: Make all the payments including the complete tuition fee of the first year, cost of accommodation, and other charges.
Step 6: Travel to Russia and join your classes.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for admission at the Plekhnov Russian Economics University, students should meet the following criteria.

Age Requirement: Students must complete the age of 17 on or before 31st December in the admission year.

Educational Qualifications: Students must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board or university.
Note: All the students should qualify the university’s entrance examination in order to secure their admission at PREU.
