Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University is one of the prominent technical universities in Russia imparting quality technical education to its students from all over the world. The history of the Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University dates back to the achievements of Soviet and Russian aircraft engines since 1930. The University was officially established in the year 25th May 1995. 

 

The university provides rigorous training to its students in the fields of designing and producing aircraft engines, general engineering, instrumentation, economics and management, social-culture services, tourism, information technology, programming, computing, and energy supply enterprises. 

 

The university offers international exposure to the students, the university actively participates in international competitions, exhibitions, and conferences. 

 

About the University 

Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University was formally established in 1995. The institution is dedicated to advancing through rigorous scientific research, state-of-the-art equipment, and cutting-edge technology employed in the manufacturing and operation of aircraft, gas power installations, ships, energy machines, aerospace, and navigation instruments. The university is committed to delivering a contemporary standard of education to students under the guidance of esteemed professionals within the aerospace industry. 

 

Faculties and Departments 

Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University encompasses the following faculties: 

  • Faculty of Aeroengines 

  • Faculty of Aviationtechnologies 

  • Faculty of Radioelectronics and Informatics 

  • Faculty of Sociology and Economics 

 

Faculty of Aeroengines 

The faculty of Aeroengines was established with the inception of the university in 1955. Until 1993 was called Aviamehanicheskogo offering comprehensive training to the engineers for aircraft engines. However, over the past nine decades, the university has offered special training in material science, metallurgy, welding engineering, and internal combustion engines.  

 

The faculty of Aeroengines includes the following departments: 

  • Department of Aircraft Engines 

  • Department of Technology of Aircraft Engines, General Machinery 

  • Department of Material, Casting, Welding 

  • Department of General and Technical Physics 

 

Faculty of Aviationtechnologies 

Faculty of Aviationtechnologies was also established in 1955. In its early days, the faculty of aviation technologies was known as the Mechanical Engineering Department and offered training majorly in two major specializations- Metal Cutting Machines and Tools, and Mechanical Engineering. 

 

After 1959, the faculty initiated specialized training in the domain of Metal Processing Technology Pressure. Presently, the faculty trains on two basic educational standards (PLO) undergraduate- A graduate of the PLO and the PLO of the same training, PLO Undergraduate towards training. 

 

Faculty of Aviationtechnologies comprises of the following departments: 

  • Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology 

  • Department of Mechanical Machines and Systems 

 

Faculty of Radioelectronics and Informatics 

The Faculty of Radioelectronics and Informatics offers various courses in the field of work with power stations, substations, power systems, and networks. They are involved in activities related to electricity, electrical installations, high-voltage technologies, automatic control, relay protection, electric machines, transformers, electromechanical complexes, and systems. This work encompasses the management and control of these systems, as well as dealing with electrical and electronic devices, automatic devices, energy flow control systems, electric drive, automation of machinery, and technological systems in various electro-technological installations and processes, including those within the electrical household industries. 

 

Faculty of Sociology and Economics 

Founded in the year 2002, the Faculty of Sociology and Economics is dedicated to providing comprehensive education and training to cultivate skilled professionals in the fields of economics and management. The faculty employs a diverse range of pedagogical approaches and curricular elements to ensure a robust and well-rounded educational experience for students.

 

The academic programs within the faculty are designed to cover a broad spectrum of topics within economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and economic theory. Additionally, the faculty boasts a distinguished faculty body composed of experienced educators and industry professionals. These instructors bring a wealth of practical knowledge and research expertise to the classroom, enriching the learning experience for students.



Admission Process 

In order to get admitted to the Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University, students must go through the following admission procedure: 

 

Step 1: Fill out the admission form, which is usually available on the official website of the university 

 

Step 2: Submit all the required documents with the application form. 

 

Step 3: After submitting the application form, students must receive the invitation letter. 

 

Step 4: Once receiving the admission letter from the university, students must contact the embassy of the Russian Federation of his/her country of residence for a visa application. 

 

Step 5: Clear all the outstanding dues including the tuition fees, cost of accommodation, and other charges.

Step 6: Travel to Russia and Join your classes 

 

Eligibility Criteria 

Students seeking admission to the Rybinsk State Technical University must fulfill the following criteria: 

  1. Students must complete the age of 17 years before getting admitted to the university 

  2. Students must pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% score in mathematics, physics, and chemistry from a recognized university or board. 

 

Note: All the students are required to qualify the university entrance exam in order to secure their admission to the university.

City at a Glance 

Situated in the Rybinsk, Rybinsk is one of the oldest Slavic settlements on the Volga River. From 1504, it was identified in documents as Rybnaya Sloboda (literally: “the fishing village”). Apart from this, Rybinsk is one of the top destinations for boat rides, sailboats, docks, rivers, and fishing. A few of the major city attractions include-
