Medical Faculty 

The medical faculty of SSMU is one of the oldest and the largest faculty of the Siberian State Medical University with an unwavering experience of more than 100 years. The Medical Faculty of SSMU encompasses around 28 departments with a team of 100 highly skilled and professional teaching staff producing around 100 high-class doctors annually. 

Throughout its history, the medical faculty has trained more than 20,000 doctors from more than 30 countries all over the world. 

Pediatrics Faculty

Established in 1944, the Pediatrics faculty offers comprehensive training to its students in the field of pediatrics. To provide hands-on clinical training to its graduates, the university has established its own Children's Hospital and Regional Pediatric Center. For the past 70 years, this esteemed faculty has trained more than 11,000 experts specialized to work in children’s clinics, hospitals, maternity hospitals, and perinatal clinics. 

Pharmacy Faculty

The pharmacy faculty of Siberian State Medical University has trained more than 8,000 specialists among them 200 doctors and candidates of science. Students are offered rigorous training and comprehensive practical experience so that they can contribute their knowledge and skills to work actively as heads of departments, laboratories, and centers in various educational, and scientific organizations. 

Biological Faculty 

The Biology Faculty of Siberian State Medical University was established in 1975, and, is the only training personnel for the research institute of medical and biological fields. This prestigious faculty offers training including a combination of scientific disciplines fundamental to clinical medicine. 

Behavioural Medicine & Management Faculty 

The faculty of behavioral medicine & management was established in March 2023. It is a result of the amalgamation of three existing faculties- Higher Nursing Education; Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Social Work; Economy and Management in Public Health Service. This eminent faculty adopts a pragmatic approach and modern teaching methodologies including practical training, case studies, practical development techniques, and master classes by leading experts. 

Admission Process 

In order to secure your admission at Siberian State Medical University, the student must follow these steps: 

Step 1: Fill out the admission form that is generally available on the official website of the university. 

Step 2: Submit all the documents with the application form 

Step 3: Wait for the acceptance or invitation letter from the university 

Step 4: After receiving the invitation letter from the university, the student must contact the Russian Embassy of his/her country of residence for a visa application 

Step 5: Make all the payments usually including the complete tuition fee of the first year, cost of the accommodation, and other charges.

Step 6: Travel to Russia 

Eligibility Criteria 

In order to secure admission to the Siberian State Medical University, prospective students are required to fulfill the following stringent criteria. These are: 

1. The student should have completed their 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board or university.

2. The student must complete the age of 17 years as on or before 31 December in the admission year. 

Note: Indian Students looking to pursue their higher education at the Siberian State Medical University must qualify for the National Eligibility cum National Test (NEET). International Students are required to qualify for the university’s entrance test. 

Documents to be Submitted 

Prior to admission, students must submit the following documents: 

1. Class 10 mark sheet and passing certificate 

2. Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate 

3. Medical certificate with HIV reports 

4. Copy of Passport 

5. Valid Identity Proof 

6. Passport size photographs

Amenities and Infrastructure

SSMU is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and modern clinical facilities. To offer practical clinical exposure to their students, the university has established various SSMU clinics including the latest MRI scanners, endoscopic and ultrasound complexes and machines as well as other necessary medical devices. These clinical facilities provide treatment to over 10,000 patients annually. The university has a team of highly skilled professionals comprising 400 healthcare professionals and over 200 doctors. 

The university has also established the University’s Center for Medical Simulation, and, it is one of the two centers in the Russian Federation to have received accreditation from the Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine (SESAM). 

Furthermore, to assist student’s extensive research and to provide them with the best study material, the university boasts one of the biggest medical libraries in the region with an extensive collection of books, academic journals, research publications, etc.
