Faculty of General Medicine 

Since its inception, this faculty has grown to become one of the largest and most prominent academic entities within the institute. It encompasses a total of 45 theoretical and clinical departments, strategically located within the main building of the Academy, along with an additional 10 teaching hospitals dedicated to medical education and training.

At present, the Faculty of General Medicine proudly accommodates a diverse and thriving student body, with a total enrollment exceeding 2000 individuals.

Faculty of Dental Medicine 

The Faculty of Dental Medicine holds the distinction of being the oldest department within the university, with its origins tracing back to the establishment of I.A. Pashutin’s Dental School in 1902. Currently, the Tver State Medical Academy stands as a premier institution, recognized as a leading and prestigious center for dental education in both Russia and Eastern Europe.

This esteemed faculty comprises 40 departments and is staffed by an impressive cohort of over 363 professors and academic professionals. Such a wealth of experienced faculty underscores the institution's commitment to delivering exceptional education, shaping the future of dental professionals, and contributing significantly to the field of dentistry.

Faculty of Pediatrics 

This esteemed faculty was established in the year 1990. Presently, more than 600 students are pursuing their higher education at this faculty. This faculty comprises around 45 departments and around 300 highly skilled professionals. This faculty offers comprehensive training to their students in the fields of hospital therapy, hospital surgery, trauma and orthopedics, endocrinology, children’s dentistry, radiology, preventive medicine, and clinical biochemistry. 

Pharmaceutical faculty

The inception of this faculty took place in the year 2001. The Pharmaceutical Faculty is dedicated to offering fundamental training to specialists in the field of pharmacy for various institutions within the pharmaceutical industry. Students enrolled in this faculty not only acquire medical knowledge but also receive comprehensive training in marketing, management, and commodity research. 

Faculty of Postgraduate Studies

The Faculty of Postgraduate Studies was opened in 1989. Over 15,000 students have completed their training at this faculty since its inception. This esteemed faculty provides comprehensive training in the domains of obstetrics, gynecology, anesthesiology, reanimatology, infections, etc. 

Faculty of Advanced Nursing Education 

The Faculty of Advanced Nursing Education was formally established in the year 2003 with the primary objective of addressing the pressing and continuous need for nursing services by cultivating a cadre of highly skilled middle-grade medical professionals. Through rigorous and specialized education, the faculty endeavors to equip its students with advanced knowledge and expertise, ensuring they are well-prepared to provide exceptional nursing care and contribute significantly to the medical workforce.  

Admission Process 

To secure admission at Tver State Medical University, the student must go through the following admission procedure: 

Step 1: Fill up the admission form, which is usually available on the official website of the university 

Step 2: Submit all the required documents with the application form 

Step 3: Wait for the admission letter from the university 

Step 4: After receiving the admission letter from the university, the student must contact the Russian embassy of his/her country of residence for a visa application 

Step 5: Make all the payment that generally includes the complete tuition fee of the first year, cost of accommodation, and other charges 

Step 6: Make all the arrangements and travel to Russia, and you are all ready to join the university 

Eligibility Criteria 

In order to secure their admission, students must meet the following requirements: 

1. The student should have passed Class 12 with at least 50% of the marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board 

2. The student should have completed the age of 17 years as on or before 31 December in the admission year

Note: It is mandatory for Indian students to qualify for NEET, whereas, International students are obliged to qualify for the university’s entrance examination.

Before admission, students are required to submit the following documents: 

1. Class 10 passing certificate and mark sheet 

2. Class 12 passing certificate and mark sheet 

3. Medical certificate with HIV reports 

4. Valid identity proof 

5. Copy of passport 

6. Passport size photographs
